Another short trip to this years GB and Olympic team selection venue. I can't say a great deal that I haven't already said before, apart from it was another hard week, with lots of volume and some pretty blustery weather. This was my last trip to the site prior to the selections, and to be honest I'm feeling as well prepared as I'll ever be.
Whilst there is still a while to go before selection, invariably my attentions will now be focussed almost entirely upon it. In the next 4 weeks I'll compete in a couple of prems to help fine tune my racing edge, this, coupled with lots of short speedy work and delivery fulls sessions should, I hope, ensure I'm fully prepared for what promises to be an exciting and closely fought selection series.
I'll post a video of some Zoetermeer highlights shortly!
On a separate note a little while back I was asked if I'd be prepared to write a blog type thingy for the BBC's sport website. I think the general idea is to get up and coming Olympic hopefulls to write about their sport, training, and other day-to-day stuff, such that the general public can have an insight into the lives of those aspiring to the 2012 Games. It's actually quite a difficult thing to do, mainly because the things I tend to find interesting (for example, pole time on breakouts is a favourite of mine) are not really that interesting inless you're deeply involved in the sport. For those interested here's the link.
Having not looked at the article 'til just now it would appear at least 5 people have read it and reviewed it positively. Maybe my article wasn't that bad afterall :)!
