Bratislava Training camp and Slovak Open
This week sees me in Bratislava, site of the 2002 European Championships, for a one week training camp followed by race 2 of the World Series (race 1 was held earlier in the year in Penrith, Australia).
The World Series is a new addition to the international calendar, with various money prizes up for grabs along with a new car for the person who wins by the greatest distance. In addition, for those who have a high world ranking or a worlds/Olympic medal the organisers have supplied them with free accommodation and a pretty decent set of wheels - which isn't a bad incentive to come and race given the potential prizes as well!
Qualification is on Saturday with the semi-finals and finals on Sunday. For more information on start times, and any other information relating to the World Series click here
