First things first, it's hot, very hot! Driving back from the course today I observed the temperature was in the region of 37 degrees. Now that's hot, but get this, yesterday was even hotter - 39 degrees our waiter reckoned, and that's before we even begin to factor in the humidity.
Now, as I'm sure you can appreciate, degrees of humidity don't mean a great deal to me, however, if I said your kit doesn't dry properly when left outside (it does eventually of course), or, when getting changed you simply fail to dry off, or best of all, having a pretty much constant bead of sweat dripping off your chin, you get a good impression of where we're at here.
Moving onto the course it can best be described as being similar to Seu in some respects (but without the big-ish drops), and also quite like Nottingham / Augsburg in as much as the eddy lines are particularly susceptible to surging and also on occasion just disappearing. One thing that is particularly noticeable is the length of the course - it must easily be 400m in total. I can only hope for the race they don't make full use of the length, or else it's goodnight Vienna for me!
