After spending less time in Augsburg than anticipated, and a good bit longer in Bourg than originally planned, I'm now back in Nottingham and thoroughly enjoying the warm weather we're having here at the moment. I don't think this has ever happened before, but it was actually sunnier and warmer upon arrival in Dover then what it was departing Calais!

This weekend is the annual Paul McConkey memorial slalom which, whilst incorporating a national ranking race, is also quite a prestigious race to win, not least because of the size of the trophy - it's massive. The race will follow a Championship format, so qualification Saturday, followed by semis and finals Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it, mainly because I haven't raced in Britain for what seems like an eternity.

I should also, hopefully, have a new boat arriving soon. Lke most things French, you have to wait forever for it to arrive (3 hours for tea/dinner anyone?!), but when it does it's well worth waiting for.......I hope!!
