Results: 10th Merano Class C International
With the water level being pretty much how it was earlier in the week the course was always going to be a slog in places. However, the course designers did an excellent job in setting a course that was both challenging, and fun to paddle.
I finished in 10th place with a penalty on each run costing me dear. With the water being as it was the racing was always going to be tight, with very few places to make up for any lost time.

Whilst I was disappointed with the end result, I was pleased with the performance as a whole. Both runs were consistent, with the only time loss in the gates being a shallow up-left 3/4 of the way down the course on the second run. The biggest errors were, of course, the two penalties. Both of which were simple schoolboy errors - just a case of poor blade timing through the gateline.
On a brighter note, this is my last week of University. I have an exam Wednesday, and another Friday, then thats it ....finished, oh how I thought the day would never arrive!
