Road Trip
Just a quick update to say I'm in Bourg St. Maurice, one of the best (if not the best) slalom courses in the World. I've been here for the last 2 weeks, enjoying some warm weather, high water levels, some fine French cuisine, and a few new sports!
Todays little excursion was to enjoy the sport of parapenting. Despite the relatively high cost, I throughly enjoyed running off the side of a mountain, and then floating around for the best part of 20 or so minutes with absolutely nothing to disturb the tranquility - apart from me laughing to myself of course.
I'm also learning to rollerblade, but frankly, I'm terrible. For some reason my ability to accelerate far outweighs my ability to stop - which has led to a few interesting moments involving a little airborne action! Needless to say, I'm wearing full protective gear:)
On Saturday we head off to Augsburg where hopefully there will be some water, and then maybe on to Leipzig before returning to England in the first week of September.
