Semi-final and Final

A slightly off the pace semi-final run saw me finish in 18th place in Race 2 of the World series. Although there was no big time errors, a couple of mistakes on the top section of the course was enough to ensure I didn't qualify for the afternoon's final.

Winner of the race was Jan Sajbidor (SVK), with Campbell in 2nd (GBR) and Peter Kauzer(SLO) in 3rd. Winner of the car was Michal Martikan(SVK) who won by nearly 6 seconds, and who's time would have placed him 3rd in the mens kayak!

Qualification

Today I set a new personal record for the greatest difference between run times - a massive 14 seconds, which whilst being quite an achievement is something I would rather do without.

A few silly touches and a big(ish) time error on the big bottom drop left me down in 48th place, with only the top 40 to qualify through to Sundays semi-final. A good, attacking second run however, dragged me back up to 26th place so qualifying quite comfortably in the end.

Something to work on for the future I think!
